Who is Magic by Alfie?
I've been performing magic professionally for 15 years, and it all started at university where I discovered that a simple card trick was the perfect icebreaker. What began as a way to make friends and avoid writing my dissertation quickly became my passion and career. Those early days of nervously performing in the bars and clubs of Southampton taught me everything about connecting with audiences and reading the room.
Today, I'm honored to be the UK Wedding Magician of the Year 2025 and a proud member of the world-famous Magic Circle. Over the years, I've performed at more than 1,000 weddings, countless corporate events, and private celebrations – from intimate gatherings to high-profile occasions for celebrities and members of Parliament. Each performance has shaped my approach and deepened my understanding of what makes magic truly memorable.

I specialise in sleight-of-hand magic using borrowed items…your ring, your watch, your phone; creating impossible moments that feel personal and unforgettable. Inspired by masters like Derren Brown and David Blaine, I believe the best magic happens up close, where wonder meets genuine human connection. I don't rely on elaborate props or stage setups. Instead, I work with what's naturally around us, turning everyday objects into the impossible. A borrowed ring vanishes and reappears in a sealed location. A signed card becomes part of a memory your guests will share for years.
One of the biggest evolutions in my career has been becoming a magical host. I now blend seamless entertainment with professional event hosting, keeping your celebration flowing beautifully from start to finish. Whether I'm working the room with close-up magic or taking the stage to guide your entire day, making announcements, introducing speeches, ensuring every moment transitions smoothly, my goal is always the same: to spark laughter, connection, and wonder while giving you complete peace of mind.
